Our Services

Below are those services which illustrate La Finca’s expertise in selling exceptional works from whole collections and estates:

  • Comprehensive research-based selling plans that analyze auction, private sale and gallery options.

  • Client-first contract negotiation.

  • Expert, objective advice on pivotal decisions.

  • Management, logistics, administration and step-by-step execution of the project from start to finish.

Our unique method

La Finca’s method is for a client to understand what their work is worth in a variety of different selling venues—and then allowing the analysis of those opportunities to drive the strategy. This is possible because of La Finca founder, Dane Jensen’s, unique and diverse background in the arts which has deep inroads into the gallery world, auction room and collector-to-collector private sales.

This allows La Finca’s clients the benefit of understanding each of the risks and rewards of each potential sale venue. It also allows for a transparent process where these sale venues (different auction houses or galleries) much compete for a given consignment, allowing for La Finca’s clients to realize the best possible terms. La Finca’s long history and frequency of consignments and dealmaking with the major players in the art industry drives each deal to the finish line, giving its clients the confidence in their decision-making and exceptional results in the end.

A results-driven approach

Our vast expertise in the art world allows us to reach, identify and access different sale types and venues, to create a strategy matrix that will guide our clients on the best results moving forward.

As illustrated in the matrix below (taken from a real La Finca client prospectus), outcomes can vary significantly. La Finca’s approach pays for itself many times over ensuring the best return within the complex and opaque art world.

Comparison of auction, gallery, and private sales with estimates, offers, and locations for three proposals. Auction includes low/high estimates and deadlines for Los Angeles and New York in 2023. Gallery includes net-to-client amounts for New York and Chicago. Private sales include offers for Los Angeles and New York.

La Finca’s research-based, insider approach allows a client to understand each potential sale proposal—"What are the advantages of putting my work at auction versus a private sale?” What is Christie’s offer versus Sotheby’s versus Private Sale pricing?” Objective, honest advice with a trusted advisor is often priceless. La Finca gives you peace of mind to sell with confidence.
